Precautions for Using Ignition Coil

Improper use of the ignition coil can lead to its damage, thus the following points should be noted: prevent the ignition coil from being exposed to heat or moisture; do not turn on the ignition switch when the engine is not running; regularly check, clean, and tighten the wire connectors to avoid short-circuits or grounding; control engine performance to prevent high voltage; the spark plug should not “hang fire” for a prolonged period; the moisture on the ignition coil should only be wiped off with a cloth, it must not be dried using heat, otherwise, it will damage the ignition coil.
